Applying for Social Action Fund

We welcome applications from all organizations that may help to advance our mission:
1.    Addressing the needs of Toronto’s downtown Jewish community
2.    Building an Israel consistent with our values of fairness, egalitarianism and social justice
3.    Protecting communities facing discrimination or anti-semitism.

Funding amounts:
Donations range from $5,000 to $15,000.  Starting in 2011, we will make one three-year commitment.  All other funds will be available on a one-time basis.

Application Process:
•    Funds are pledged by our community primarily during Yom Kippur and are collected by the end of December
•    Applications are due on December 31 and are assessed in January.
•    Organizations are notified of the status of their application in February.
•    Funds are issued to successful applicants by the end of February.
•    Recipients must complete a funding report  by December 31 of the year the donation was received.
