Library

The Daniel Camenietzki Library at the First Narayever Congregation has a core collection of  500 books on Judaic topics such as Bible commentaries, Jewish living, life cycle, parenting, social action, Jewish history and Israel. The Library also carries a selection of Jewish periodicals, such as Moment, the Jerusalem Report, Lilith, and Commentary. Books are available to be checked out by shul members.

The Reference Collection includes humashim, siddurim, the full set of the Schottenstein Talmud, the Encyclopedia Judaica, and dictionaries.

Our collection reflects the traditional- egalitarian values of the synagogue, and supports the educational programs offered to our members.

Those who would like to donate books to the library are asked to please contact our librarian, Keren Camenietzki, before dropping books off -- as our shelf space is very limited and we are not able to accept many worthwhile books. Those who would like to make a financial contribution to support new acquisitions at our library are welcome to do so at the Narayever page on Canada Helps.
