Sunday, September 20, 1:00 pm & 4:00 pm

Tashlich is a ceremony which traditionally takes place on the afternoon of the first day of Rosh Hashanah. The custom consists of casting bread crumbs into water, symbolically casting away our sins of the previous year. When the first day of Rosh Hashanah is Shabbat, as it is this year, Tashlich is performed on the second day or at any time before Yom Kippur.

This year there will be two opportunities to perform Tashlich with the Narayever on Sunday, September 20. At 1:00 pm, Rabbi Ed will lead a ceremony, and at 4:00 pm, Ruth Rohn will lead. Both will take place in Cedarvale ravine.
