Tuesday September 7, 1:00 pm & 4:00 pm

Tashlikh is a ceremony which traditionally takes place on the afternoon of the first day of Rosh Hashanah. The custom consists of casting bread crumbs into water, symbolically casting away our sins of the previous year.

After the conclusion of services, Rabbi Ed will lead a ceremony and at 4:00 pm, Ruth Rohn will lead. Both will take place in Cedarvale ravine. For the 1:00 pm Tashlikh, meet Rabbi Ed at the conclusion of morning services, to walk south to the ravine. Or, alternatively, meet him at the rivulet close to the south entrance at 1:00 pm. For the 4:00 pm event, meet Ruth at street level at the Heath Street entrance to the St. Clair West subway station, and the group will walk together down into the ravine for tashlikh.
