Ethnicity, Diversity, and Belonging within the Jewish Community: In conversation with No Silence on Race

Thursday, January 14, 2021 1 Shevat 5781

7:30 PM - 9:00 PM

Register for this event at: This past fall, the Narayever made a commitment to more closely examine our own internalized biases and to improve the inclusion of Jews of Colour and the diverse experiences and traditions that they bring to the Jewish community. An important step toward this goal is to listen to and learn from Jews of diverse ethnic and racial backgrounds. We are honoured that (pictured L-R above) Sara Yacobi-Harris, the founder of No Silence on Race, as well as members Akillah Allen-Silverstein and Yoni Belete, will join us for an important discussion on race, ethnicity, and diversity within the Jewish community, and what we can do to reach our goals of inclusion and equity. They will share with us their experiences of discrimination and exclusion within the Jewish community and their insights on how we can move in a better direction.
