Narayever Israel Mission
Plans for our shul Israel trip are moving forward. Led by Rabbi Elkin, the trip will take place from December 23, 2012 – January 3, 2013. A number of shul families and individuals have already expressed interest. Highlights of the itinerary include picking fruit for local soup kitchens with Project Leket, hiking in the Ramon Crater, meeting North African Jewish immigrants in Yerucham and Ethiopian Jews in Maale Adumim, exploring the Kotel tunnels, a cruise on the Kinneret, planting trees at the Neot Kedumim Nature reserve, visiting with a kabbalistic artist in Safed, Masada and the Dead Sea, and much more. Of course we will also see the basic sights of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. The itinerary is great for first-timers and those who’ve been to Israel before. The cost of the trip will be approximately $4,500/person. If you would like to see a copy of the itinerary or would like more information, please contact the rabbi at rabbi@narayever.ca. No obligation at this time. We need 20 shul members to make it a go, so if you’re at all interested do let the rabbi know.
