Through words and images Ruth will overview the wide range of responses and artworks created after October 7th, reflecting the painful reality and national trauma that befell Israel. She will look at how Israeli artists have become central in transforming grief into art, testimony and calls for solidarity. We will begin the evening with Havdalah. Israeli wine and cheese will be served. Ruth Adler is a multidisciplinary artist—working in painting, textile collage, and video—whose vibrant practice has been exhibited internationally since the 1980s. Ruth lives and works in both Toronto and Tel Aviv.
