The Messianic Idea in Judaism

Rabbi Ed will be offering a four-part on-line mini-series entitled “The Messianic Idea in Judaism”. This topic is particularly relevant in period leading up to Pesach, a holiday which emphasizes God’s redemptive role on earth. In the course we will explore the development of the idea of the Messiah. Among the ideas we discuss will be the ingathering of the exiles, the resurrection of the dead, Elijah’s role, in what sense the natural world will change in the messianic era, and whether Judaism imagines that everyone will be Jewish in the days of the Messiah.

The sessions will be offered from 2:00 – 3:30 pm on the following dates: Thursday March 26, Thursday April 2, Monday April 6, Monday April 13.

Please register using the form below or by emailing the office - Upon registration you will be sent materials and the Zoom link. Sessions will be recorded so that those who are unable to participate live may listen to the lecture and discussion.
