On Saturday, September 13, Canadian Friends of Peace Now, in partnership with First Narayaver Congregation, will be hosting an exclusive evening with renowned political analyst and author, Dr. Dahlia Scheindlin. This live event will take place at 7:00 pm at First Narayaver Congregation, 187 Brunswick Avenue in Toronto. Dr. Dahlia Scheindlin is a political analyst and public opinion researcher based in Israel. She is a regular columnist at Ha’aretz (English) and has published widely on Israeli-Palestinian issues. Her topic will be “Two States for Two Peoples? What International Recognition of a Palestinian State Could Mean for Israeli-Palestinian Peace.” This event is free and open to the public. About Dahlia Scheindlin Dr. Dahlia Scheindlin is a political analyst and a public opinion researcher who has advised on nine electoral campaigns in Israel and worked in 15 other countries, over 25 years. She is a columnist at Haaretz (English) and a policy fellow at Century International. Dahlia conducts public opinion research for civil society organizations, including joint Israeli-Palestinian surveys, peace and human rights groups. She holds a Ph.D. in political science from Tel Aviv University; her thesis examined conflicts in Serbia-Kosovo, Armenia-Azerbaijan and Cyprus. She also holds a master’s degree from Harvard Divinity School; her writing has appeared in the New York Times, The Guardian and the Observer, Foreign Affairs, Foreign Policy, The New York Review of Books, The New Statesman, among other publications. Her book The Crooked Timber of Democracy in Israel: Promise Unfulfilled, was listed on Foreign Affairs’ Best Books of 2024. She is a board member of A Land for All.
