Who is leading MNjcc High Holiday Main Services this year?
• Rabbi Ed is leading all the services and will be delivering
sermons on all three days
• Davening leaders include Matan Boker, Sarah Colman, Neil Naft, Nathan Perlis,
Ruth Rohn, Soozi Schlanger, and Jordan Wosnick
What’s going on at Shul Services this year?
• Services on Rosh Hashanah Day I, and Yom Kippur evening (Kol
Nidre) led by our wonderful Director of Tefillah Leadership and Education Ruth
Rohn plus many volunteer daveners including Jordan Wosnick. Kol Nidre at the shul will be chanted by Matan Boker.
• Services on Erev Rosh Hashanah led by Rabbi Ed. All are welcome
• Heimisch and spiritually meaningful traditional-egalitarian services, in an
intimate environment for prayer
What machzor will we be using?
• We are once again using our egalitarian machzor, Lev Shalem, at both venues

What’s the ruach going to be at the MNjcc this year?
• Wonderful heimisch and spiritually meaningful
traditional-egalitarian services
• Maintaining the seating arrangement from the past two years
• Narayever ruach to welcome the new year
Will you be offering the audio livestream again?
• Yes! Everyone who registers for services will receive a link to the audio livestream
How are you handling the two venues this year?
• On Rosh Hashanah Day I and Erev Yom Kippur we will offer
parallel services both at the shul and at the MNjcc. We must limit the number of
services at the shul due to the specialized knowledge required to lead High Holiday
services and the number of service leaders presently available
• On Rosh Hashanah Day II (September 24), Yom Kippur morning (October 2) and on
Yom Kippur evening (October 2) we look forward to being all together in one
venue, the MNjcc
How are you handling security this year?
• Narayever's Security committee has increased security at both the MNjcc and the shul venues. Some of our security measures are visible, and others invisible. We will have professional security guards present at both locations, as well as off-duty Toronto Police officers. Photo ID will be checked, as well as bags. You can feel safe focusing on your davening, but if you do see something that concerns you, please notify an usher or Narayever staff.
What are Some Highlights for Family and Youth this year?
• Family services will be run by the amazing Fran Sharpe.
• Beyahad Bahootz outdoor all-ages service on Rosh Hashanah Day II
in the playground at the MNjcc
• At the same time as the Beyahad Bahootz service we will also be offering a
Children's Program for any child ages 2 to 8 who is dropped off for babysitting
in the nursery. Led by Julie Tepperman, this fun and interactive program will
include participatory storytelling, activities, and games for our littlest
members as we welcome a New Year.
• Our new ShinShinim Alma and Yuval will be present during Rosh
Hashanah to share their Israel with our youth and families
• Stimulating and joyful environment for children and families to celebrate the
holidays through family services, babysitting for children age 8 and under, and
supervised lounge for children ages 8 and up
• Wonderful lay leadership in the services by parents and teens
