FAMILY SERVICES

Our High Holiday Family Services are sure to engage, build connections, and develop your family’s sense of Jewish community through a spiritual celebration of the holiest days on our calendar. These services are geared for families with children ages 0 - 12, but are truly intended for all ages as they offer something for everyone. The Family Services are not a drop-off program, but are to be experienced and enjoyed by parents and children together. This year’s services will be led by Sabrina Friedman, Sarah Colman, Marcia Beck and Nathan Perlis with Carly Prusky (Director of Family and Youth Engagement) and wonderful parent and teen volunteers. This is an opportunity for parents and children to daven the traditional High Holiday liturgy and sing our familiar tunes in an environment shaped and built for families.

There will also be a lounge for children to take breaks from services, where games, books, and snacks will be provided in addition to our drop-off babysitting (ages 2 - 8) at the MNjcc childcare.

Please note that children are warmly welcome in the family service, in the childcare area, in the supervised lounge, or in the main adult service with their parents/guardians.

*New Beyachad Bahootz – Outdoor Family Service Rosh Hashanah Day 2

This year for Rosh Hashanah Day 2, an outdoor service at Robert Street Field (corner of Robert Street and Sussex Avenue) will be offered under the leadership and initiative of Sarah Colman. As the name indicates, we'll come together as a community outside and appreciate the land that sustains us during the Jewish New Year. This service is intended for all who would like to turn the outdoors into a sacred space. Please make sure to bring outdoor blankets or chairs to suit your comfort. Please note that if it rains, this service will be held in the MNjcc theatre.
