We warmly welcome everyone to register for the High Holiday services HERE.

Rosh Hashanah begins on Monday evening September 22 and Yom Kippur begins on Wednesday evening October 1.

We are delighted to be offering High Holidays 5786/2025 services at the Mile Nadal JCC and at the shul.

Erev Rosh Hashanah services, led by Rabbi Ed Elkin, are at the shul only.  Anyone with a MNjcc or shul ticket is welcome.

Rabbi Ed Elkin will lead all services at the MNjcc – Rosh Hashanah Day I, Rosh Hashanah Day II, Erev Yom Kippur (Kol Nidre), Yom Kippur Day and Mincha/Neila services at the conclusion of Yom Kippur. Ruth Rohn will lead services at the shul - Rosh Hashanah Day I and Erev Yom Kippur (Kol Nidre). Please note: This year, we are offering all Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services at the MNjcc. In addition, Rosh Hashanah Day I and Yom Kippur evening (Kol Nidre) services will run simultaneously at the shul. We must limit the number of services at the shul due to the specialized knowledge required to lead high holiday services and the number of service leaders presently available. We hope that you will join us and experience the remarkable opportunity to gather and pray in community.

We are excited to have Fran Sharpe once again, who will be leading our family services on Rosh Hashanah Day I, Yom Kippur evening (Kol Nidre) and Yom Kippur Day.  Fran comes to the Narayever with years of experience as a Jewish educator, song leader, and service leader. These services are designed for children ages 0 to 12 and their families.

Back by popular demand, Sarah Colman will be leading Rosh Hashanah Day II Beyachad Bachootz, an outdoor all-ages service in the MNjcc playground where we will come together as a community to transform the outdoors into a sacred space.  At the same time, Julie Tepperman will lead a fun and interactive program for children ages 2 to 8 who are dropped off for babysitting in the nursery.

Please see the Family Service webpage for more details.

Please keep in mind that children are warmly welcome at all High Holiday services.

A link to the audio of our High Holiday services in the MNjcc gym will be made available for those who need to stay at home. However, we strongly encourage those that are able to take the opportunity to join the community in-person, and be surrounded by others as we reaffirm our Jewish traditions. If you would like to receive the audio link, please register using the link above.

Tickets for services will be emailed to all members and all registrants just before Rosh Hashanah. If we do not have your email address, tickets will be available for pickup the first time you arrive for services (government photo id will be required for entry).

Our High Holiday offerings are many and varied, and we hope that there is something for everyone in our community. Our goal is to offer an experience of these ancient holidays which is beautiful, inspiring, and traditional, as we welcome the new year of 5786.
